Notiophilus novemstriatus

Notiophilus novemstriatus
Tippecanoe County, Indiana, USA
May 6, 2007
Size: 4 mm
Notiophilus novemstriatus. Two preapical elytral punctures, dark legs/antennae, smooth elytral intervals, and lack of distinct apical pale spots are characters for this species.

Found by searching through the needle litter underneath a group of pine trees. I have found another on open ground near a hardwood forest.
