What jumper? What jumper?

Hmmm...
I'm not sure about Sassacus. Carapace shape doesn't look quite right to me, but then I'm not real familiar with that genus so I can't confirm or deny.

I think the basal abdomen stripe is also continuous in Sassacus, and this one almost appears to have lateral bands instead. (again, not sure) What I'm seeing as possible lateral bands could very well be attributed to worn/missing scales.

One thing I am pretty certain about, is this in an adult male. :-) Also pretty certain this is not an Eris sp., though there is some resemblance.

Jay
you are to humble.
Probably Metaphidippus or one the similar genera.

Edit: This could be S. vitis.

...
I'm okay with vitis unless somebody wants to send it to me to confirm. The other Metaphids are too "flashy" for this one, and I don't think any Pelegrina have such large legs I.

Looks like Sassacus papenhoei
Looks like Sassacus papenhoei. The irridescent scales and white marginal stripe to the cephalothorax and abdomen are typical for this species.
