Gnat? - Sylvicola

Gnat? - Sylvicola
Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
April 30, 2005
Size: ~7 mm
Photographed in my house on a sill...looks like some type of gnat, but I am not too sure...

Wood gnat
This looks like a wood gnat (Anisopodidae). Check out the other pictures in the guide - it looks very much like Tom's picture (1) - I would think it is in the same genus and possibly the same species as his.

Thanks Joel!
I'll put it in the proper family for now, hopefully we'll get a confirmation on genus/species:)
