Also, thought I might add
the Mantis is a female. Likely a Carolina Mantis.

prey is Neoconocephalus triops
The prey is a katydid, not a grasshopper. I can see the cone well enough in one of the shots to identify it as the broad-tipped conehead. Agreeing with the November date, this katydid has a winter brood, although this male won't be joining the chorus!
