Lichen critter - looking at its face - Leucochrysa pavida

Lichen critter - looking at its face - Leucochrysa pavida
Jesup, Wayne County, Georgia, USA
January 6, 2008
Size: 1/4 inch MAX
Note that here I am 'eye-to-eye' with this critter. You can see both eyes, 2 arms or possibly mandibles - looking very crab-like, and a couple legs if you use your imagination ! It clearly uses pieces of lichen for camo, and it's truly TINY !!! I am still working on trying to get a better photo ...
