Pemphredonini - Pemphredon

Pemphredonini - Pemphredon
Springfield, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
May 2, 2005
Size: 6mm
Based upon the description given in Borror & White, page 350 (1), I believe this is a sphecid wasp in subfamily Pemphredoninae, tribe Pemphredonini, though confirmation would be welcome. The antennae inserted low on the face distinguishes this wasp from tribe Psenini, which has antennae rising from the middle of the face. Compare with this Pemphredon sp.
