Black-winged Fly

Black-winged Fly
Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada
August 24, 2007
Size: BL ~ 6 mm
Resting on foliage in full sun. Distinctly dark. It was quite weary and flew away shortly after I approached it.

Geography
Every time I look at this one I think that I know what it is, but then I remember that Alberta isn't exactly "eastern Canada". I'm also not sure the face is right anyway. Hmmmm...
I'm not very knowledgable on flies, and my guess isn't in Muscoidea, still I'll watch for an ID.
