Male brown widow--Latrodectus geometricus - Latrodectus geometricus - male

Male brown widow--Latrodectus geometricus - Latrodectus geometricus - Male
East San Diego, San Diego County, California, USA
December 28, 2007
Size: 2.5 mm
Finally got home where I could take a photo of the male with my dissecting scope. I collected him with the females I submitted earlier which were big enough to photograph without the scope. As is typical of the genus, this guy was minute compared to the females. In this photo he's eating an aphid that's not very large.
