Scopula plantagenaria
8 mi. SW of Wimberley, Comal County, Texas, USA

Size: 18-20mm wingspan
Possibly in Semiothisini tribe; resembles some Macarias. After that, I go spot-blind.
At incandescent light on cool night.

Thanks, J.D. Typically, I stepped off onto the wrong limb too early. When I reduce exp in raw NEF files, the zigzagged pm lines are much more evident, but of course, the rest of the wing is dark mush. If weather trends continue, I may have to invest in Southwestern, Mexican, and even Caribbean resource publications. Some years from now, perhaps my Canadian friends may contemplate the same. I hope there's some moth guys down in the Rio Grande valley this winter; they may have to learn Portuguese.
