fly - Anthomyia
Milton, Massachusetts, USA
April 27, 2005
This fly has 2 distinct black bands on the back, that actually are raised. Any help on identification would be great.

Family Anthomyiidae
Hello Tom,
This one is a species from the family Anthomyiidae, probably even from the genus Anthomyia!
Greetings,
