One of many spiders attracted to insects attracted to lights outdoors. Here is is on the outside wall of a house.

The ID Larinioides sclopetarius has been suggested elsewhere.

Larinioides certainly looks correct
We would have said patagiatus, but we keep getting these confused. Not sure what exactly separates them.
