Subfamily Pselaphinae - Rybaxis clavata

Subfamily Pselaphinae - Rybaxis clavata
Medford, (~25 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
August 4, 2007
Size: under 2mm
10 image montage - one of my first attempts, and I believe the "white edges were from some slight movements during taking the images (the beetle was so small that slight air currents were rocking it around).

Moved from Ant-loving Beetles.

Rybaxis male
It should be possible to identify this to species, but it isn't quite clear enough to see the form (if any) of the metasternal tubercles (should be visible in lateral view).

Thanks Don,
I'll try to shoot and post a lateral view of the metasterum area in a few days.
