I thought a photo of adult would be nice. These come to UV light in the city on rare occasions: 15 specimens in 3000 nights of UV light trapping. June through August.

it's really Texas & New Mexico Beetle ;-)

 
I suppose
Well, yes, but that doesn't flow off the tongue like "the Texas Beetle". Anyway, NM is a little, often forgotten, state compared to its giant neighbor. Occasionally people think we aren't really in the US at all.
