Amazing shots to clearly show off the propodial spines! That was a very informative post including several features of this species! My yard here in California has an ant, probably the same genus. My photos are not as diagnostic as these!

Right subfamily...
...wrong genus. That's not a fire ant but another introduced species, Tetramorium bicarinatum. It differs from Solenopsis in having a more rugose integument, propodeal spines, a three-segmented antennal club (two in Solenopsis), and antennal scrobes.
