This appears to have the black rings at each leg joint, so it looks like I finally found one that isn't B. brunalis.

I didn't know they were close relatives to fleas, but it make sense the way they look, and the way they jump like a flea.

It just came out a few years
It just came out a few years ago... before Entomologists thought that the fleas are closer related with flies... but DNA and also chemical studies placed the Boreidae as the sister of all fleas..But then the Mecoptera also gave rise to the Diptera (it is not completely by chances that Bittacus and Tipula look relatively similar)...
But your Boreus pic is the best I ever saw of this group! Congratulations (again)!
