Appledore walking-stick - Diapheromera femorata
Appledore Island in the Isles of Shoals, Maine, USA

Size: 3 inches
A stick insect that had found its self trapped in the small computer lab out on Appledore Island. I have no idea what it is on any level of classification, besides belonging to the order Phasmida of course.

Male northern walkingstick.
Note the claspers at the tip of the abdomen and modified middle femora, which help give the gender. Pretty sure Diapheromera femorata is your 'only' stick insect in ME.
