Another fly from our garden, on Argyranthemum frutescens. (live oak/chaparral haibtat).

Nice photo!
Not an ID, but I wonder about a calyptrate fly in the "flesh fly" family? The spots on the wings are interesting and symmetrical - are these pterostigma of some sort?
