Beautiful Phidippus!
What a great frontal shot. Can you describe your encounter with it, how long you were able to photograph it, and any unusual behavioral aspects?

This one was moving around on top of a rock, and let me take several shots, and was still there when I left. Most times you can get in tight, as long as you move really slow. To get the frontal shot, I waved my fingers to get it's attention, and it turns to see the movement, facing the camera.
Sometimes jumping spiders are rather bold, and face you down rather than run away, but not always.

Jumping Spider - P. princeps
It is a female Phidippus princeps, I believe.
