Mound ant colony - Formica
Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

This a colony of our common mound ant species in New Brunswick, size about 1.5 feet wide and 1 foot high. This is not the Allegheny Mound Ant, but for a comment on the occurrence of that species in NB, see here.
