Fossil Megapodagrionidae (Odonata) 01

Fossil Megapodagrionidae (Odonata) 01
Klondike Mountain Formation, 49 million years old, Ferry County, Washington, USA
Size: ~2.8cm
A Odonata wing from the fossil site which was Identified by Dr. Stan Lewis of St. Cloud University as belonging to the Family Megapodagrionidae, Flatwing damselflies. From what I can find this family is now restricted to tropical South America, Australia, and possibly Africa?. (Please correct me if I am wrong!)

The environment which this specimen lived in was upland subtropical/temperate, think SE Asia and SE USA combined, subtropical mixed broad leaf forest with a strong coniferous segment
