Amara sp., family Carabidae - Amara
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
May 2, 2005
Size: 7.5 mm
Caught in flight.

Amara (s.str.) sp.
This specimen definitely belongs to Amara, subgenus Amara, which is easy to identify on general appearance alone. There are about 60 or so species in North America, and many are very similar-looking, so I won't take a chance at a species ID!

Matt

Amarini
This beetle may be a species of Amara, or something in that tribe at least. Nice image!
