tiny weevil - Tanysphyrus lemnae

tiny weevil - Tanysphyrus lemnae
Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
February 4, 2008
Size: 1.5mm
I found this one in a small depression on the surface of a frozen swamp, and thought it was frozen solid. When I got it home, it was up and about like normal.

Thanks Boris

Looks like
Tanys*phyrus lemnae.

Boris,
I just went to the post office today and mailed out the beetles I collected for you. So you should see them in a few days.

Save
for me, thanks.
