local giant Springtail - Orchesella villosa

local giant Springtail - Orchesella villosa
University of New Hampshire, Durham, New Hampshire, USA
February 2, 2008
Size: 4-5mm
A the largest springtail species I've found (and I've seen these guys before, so they aren't that new to me), I don't have a legitimate name to put on them.
This one was found on campus under a piece of semi-frozen wood that was thawing out in the warm weather.

Orchesella villosa
This isn't Orchesella villosa, is it?
