I see I never followed up on this one. It is pretty clear now that it is M. yarrowii.

Looks big?
I'm going to guess that she is M. thomasi or M. yarrowi, though I think of M. thomasi as much more vividly marked, and M. yarrowi as usually rather more slender. I'm not aware of any other species in that area that looks like this, but I may be missing something. More views would help, and - as usual - female Spur-throats aren't as good for identification as males.

I was surprised to see it on the side of the house near the light.....nothing for it to eat here & I didn't see any potential mates!! Sorry I didn't measure & only got one image. Thanks for your effort .
