Promachus
There is a group of white-tailed species. So we might have to go with White-tailed Bastard for the name. Nice shot. The only other species in WI is the P. fitchii which is very different in coloration.

Thank you for your comments. If you find another species that is named White-Tailed Robber Fly, please let me know. White-Tailed Bastard sounds too crude for me. :-))
