Triatoma rubida

Triatoma rubida
Skull Valley, (WSW of Prescott 10 miles), Yavapai County, Arizona, USA
July 19, 2007
Found in our house; locally known as Walapai Tigers......never had one attack my facial area; but have many occassions where they injected me in the feet & lower leg areas. Yes, and they cause a very strong itching and a red bump in the area. Do check your bedding afterwards as it might decide to stick around for more the next night. I find that they try to get inside of homes mostly in the Fall. They give off a strong smell when squished.
