Genus is easy, but species ID is virtually impossible from photos.

This is a neat looking- clean cut Beetle....on my top ten list!

 
Looks can be deceiving.
I hear this guy is really smelly and loud at times! But the smelly part could be just rumor.

 
Hi Peter
I have been known to stomp on skunks so "smelly" won't bother, and noisey! Well, my hearnig aids are mostly noise makers.....under some conditions they actually help. I am sort of inventorying the Skull Valley critters....there are enough right here to keep me busy.
