Maritime Earwig? - Anisolabis maritima - male

Maritime Earwig? - Anisolabis maritima - Male
Hammonasset Beach, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA
February 14, 2008
Size: 16mm
Found under a log on the beach.

Pretty good memory Jim
I thought it was the same as you found, but wanted to make sure. Thanks for the confirmation.

That male forceps
is diagnostic. BTW, mine is still alive that I collected at the Odiorne Bioblitz. It has the much smaller Euborellia from California now for company.

Anisolabis maritimus
That's from memory. Now I'll go check it :-)

Oops! It's Anisolabis maritima.
