Moved
Moved from Cuterebra.

Oestridae: Cuterebra
one can tell by M terminating in the wing margin near R4+5, head wider than thorax, scutellum strong, projecting. another great find.

Very cool.
I hope this one eventually gets identified to species. I spied one at Greasewood Park in Tucson last fall...Thought it was a big Copestylum at first, but wondered why it showed no interest in the flowers:-) Very alert, flew very fast.
