Small Robber Fly? - Exaireta spinigera

Is this a small robber fly - like a Dioctria - or I am completely off-base again? Unfortunately don't have a shot of the front of the head.

Looks like a robberfly, but
Looks like a robberfly, but it is a soldier fly... A species introduced from Australia... Nice find!
