Lavender-Eyes - Meconema thalassinum - female

Lavender-Eyes - Meconema thalassinum - Female
Nashua, New Hampshire, USA
August 13, 2007
Size: 1.5- 2 inch?
Another katydid attracted by the lights of my home. Look at her pretty lavender eyes!
I've never seen one of such a pale green color & the yellow & red marking on her back is another unusual feature.

Female drumming katydid.
Don't know how this one escaped my attention the first time! Moving to guide page.
