Spider with Spots - male

Spider with Spots - Male
Springfield, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA
February 27, 2008
Size: BL: 4ml
We found this guy on our bedroom wall above the head of the bed. After looking through BugGuide I believe this is a Pirate Spider Mimetus. I would like to check this ID first, though. Found him about 1:30am and he is still on the wall today in the same place. I found that strange. What do you think? I just thought he would be off to find true love or something. I still wonder why he hung out in the open like that.
UPDATE: He set out a little silk and was hanging around when I went to bed and had moved closer to being over my head (he was just a few feet up from my head). He was gone the next morning, though. I was hoping that he would shed his skin or something.
