Geotrupes blackburnii
Snowhill Road north of Cabin Branch Creek, Durham County, North Carolina, USA
February 1, 2008
Size: 14 mm
Found at a light, rather moribund. I took some detail shots after it expired. Date is approximately correct--to within a week or so. Ventral view.

Appears to be Geotrupes blackburnii according to information in Phil Harpootlian's keys (1).
