Sorry if this grosses anybody out. I found these when I peeled a dead toad off the ground, hoping to find some carrion beetles. Any way to distinguish calliphorid from sarcophagid larvae? I could crop the image to just a couple of larvae if that would help.

Spiracular Plates
Unfortunately the only way to tell Flesh fly larvae (Sarcophaga spp.) from blow fly larvae (Calliphora, Phoenicia, etc) is by microscopic examination of their breathing plate (AKA spiracular plate).
