Sarcophagidae -- possible to nail down a specific sp.?
Black Creek, Cary, Wake County, North Carolina, USA
May 12, 2005
I found this one and several others on a rusty railing. I tried to get a good shot of the venenation, is it possible to tell the specific sp. from this? If not, I will just move it into the Sarcophagidae image section.

One of my professional and personal friends is a leading authority on Sarcophagidae. They are impossible to put to species without dissecting the male genitalia.

D'oh!
That's a bummer :( , off to the guide it goes!
