Old World Bee ID Request - Coelioxys coturnix - Herring Run Watershed, Baltimore City County, Maryland, USA July 6, 2007 Size: small
According to private communication with a bee expert, this bee has only been recently observed in the New World. Apparently in its native range, it is not a common bee. These may be some of the only images of a live bee ever recorded.
Observed on a neighbor's Mentha spicata.
