Tibellus oblongus? - Tetragnatha

Tibellus oblongus? - Tetragnatha
Sitka County, Alaska, USA
July 25, 2007
I'm not absolutely sure Tibellus is the correct genus, but if it is, T. oblongus appears to be the only species in the genus known to occur in this area (per the Nearctic Spider Database).

Tibellus...
I would guess this is Tibellus from several elements in the picture...Levi&Levi report two other species in NA, but that was
a while ago and I have only seen oblongus, on the East Coast.

Those eyes do not resemble Philodromidae to me at all.

Tetragnatha
Looks like a Long-jawed Orb-weaver from Tetragnatha.

In that case, it seems like it's probably be T. versicolor, which is one of three species in this genus reported in a spider survey done not too far from here. However, it seems like the jaws (that presumably make for the common name of the group) are generally pretty obvious, I don't see them on the spider in my pictures (even when I zoom in on the full-sized original images).
