Mystery Moth -
Gazoryctra
Sitka County, Alaska, USA
August 9, 2007
I am thinking this might be the same species as
this moth from three years before
, and
this moth
and
this moth
from the same day. At the very least it seems like they must be related.

Faded Patterns
I was thinking that it could be one of the Ghost moths. But maybe the patterns on this one faded a bit or got darker? Several things come to my mind on this one:
❤
It could very well be a darker form of one of the Ghost moths. As I really believe in this one.
❤
It could be a variable form of one species of Ghost moth. Although I'm not too sure on these.
❤
It could be old and worn out. Other then that I'm clueless. The only other thing that comes to mind would be a different species entirely.
Just don't take what I said too seriously because I'm only an novice. :P *Hopes she got the use of the word "novice" correctly*
