Mystery Moth - Gazoryctra

Mystery Moth - Gazoryctra
Sitka County, Alaska, USA
August 9, 2007
I am thinking this might be the same species as this moth from three years before, and this moth and this moth from the same day. At the very least it seems like they must be related.

Faded Patterns
I was thinking that it could be one of the Ghost moths. But maybe the patterns on this one faded a bit or got darker? Several things come to my mind on this one:

It could very well be a darker form of one of the Ghost moths. As I really believe in this one.

It could be a variable form of one species of Ghost moth. Although I'm not too sure on these.

It could be old and worn out. Other then that I'm clueless. The only other thing that comes to mind would be a different species entirely.

Just don't take what I said too seriously because I'm only an novice. :P *Hopes she got the use of the word "novice" correctly*
