On a low sedge growing on wet, sandy soil in wetland area at
the unopened road at McKenna Road UTM 18T 0428343, 4987612.

Interesting Epicauta
This gray Epicauta appears to be rather distinctive--antennal segments 1 and 2 (or 2 and 3?) are very elongated, giving it almost a Longhorn apperance. Compare this image from Oklahoma:

Compare, also, this image labeled as Epicauta fabricii linked from the family page of Insects of Cedar Creek. The image shows two individuals, (male/female?), one with the odd antennae. A sexual dimorphism?
