Brown Skipper - Panoquina ocola

Brown Skipper - Panoquina ocola
New Iberia, Iberia Parish, Louisiana, USA
October 15, 2007
Size: 1.5cm
I don't think anyone is going to be able to identify this one, but I figured I'd post the picture just in case.

Moved
Moved from Butterflies.

Ocola
This is an Ocola Skipper, IDed by the distinct crescent shape of the large forewing spot.

Skipper
I would say it's either an Ocola Skipper - Panoquina ocola:

Or what I'd guess it be, a Twin-Spot Skipper - Oligoria maculata:

Maybe someone with more expertise in your area will weigh in on this.

Skipper
It seems to match both of those species very closely. I don't know much about butterflies though, so I have no idea how to tell them apart (maybe someone else will?). Thanks for the reply.
