I believe this is some sort of juvenile false katydid, but I could be mistaken.

I can just see some banding on the antennae which means Genus Scudderia. Beyond that I can't tell.

Thanks for the reply. I guess at this stage in the insect's life it would be difficult to determine which species it is, as there are several native to that area.
