Size: .5 inch
At first, I thought this was a little shiny pebble. I realized that it wasn't after I observed eight legs stretch out and it began to walk. I have never seen anything like this.

Which means it's about to lay
Which means it's about to lay a few million eggs. Unless you want a whole bunch of ticks I'd put that thing in a jar of alcohol...

Thanks for the info. I put it in an empty jar and it is dead now. I threw it out with the jar. Should I dig it out of the garbage bin and add the alcohol just to be safe?
