Pelegrina proterva - male

Pelegrina proterva - Male
Licking County, Ohio, USA
September 12, 2006
Size: 3.2mm
Subadult male captured on date shown and photographed later in captivity. Molted to adult on 9/30.

I usually find this species in shrubby habitat. This one appeared to be a speed freak though, preferring instead the moonroof inside a 2000 Monte Carlo SS. Good thing I keep extra containers within easy reach at all times. :-)
