Pleasing Fungus Beetle - Megalodacne fasciata

Pleasing Fungus Beetle - Megalodacne fasciata
Mason Farm Biological Reserve, Orange County, North Carolina, USA
October 5, 2007
Size: 12mm
A ventral view--this might be of interest in comparing this family with the somewhat similar Nitulididae:

So I guess Erotylidae does not have the prosternum with a process produced between the front coxae, as do members of the Nitulididae (thumbnail above).
