st. pete, pinellas County, Florida, USA
March 12, 2008
Size: 2 inches

Moved
Moved from Bagworm Moths.

Looks like
one of the Bagworm Moths (Psychidae)

Abbot's bagworm, I think
A large bag with the twigs placed horizontally is likely to be Abbott's bagworm, Oiketicus abboti. There are only about 25 species of Psychidae in North America, so at some point I hope to find descriptions of all of them and be able to say this with certainty.

Thanks John!
