Which Bumblebee - Bombus sonorus

Which Bumblebee - Bombus sonorus
Skull Valley, (WSW of Prescott 10 miles), Yavapai County, Arizona, USA
September 28, 2007
Found this Bumblebee resting on the nearly bare ground. Thought that it may be dying, but it flew away after I got this image.

Bombus sonorus

Thanks John S. Ascher
I am used to seeing these sleeping in the flowering plants early in the cooler mornings. This one was redting on the ground at 2:30pm on a windy day. It must have ran out of energy & had to rest.
