Size: 2.3 cm/1 cm/.8 cm
Found on the back side of an old rake leaning against the south side of a building. No large hole in either end, but some damage to top and one side. Seems to be columns of crusty material rather than silk in composition. Somewhat papery.

I am glad you posted these images. I used to see thing like this a long time ago and wondered what they were. I no longer live in the country and haven't seen any in my new location...
