Definitely an aphid
but we're not having much luck finding an expert here who can help with them. Do you know what plant species it was on? That's usually a big help to the experts. It looks like a mowed blade of grass. Were there other plants nearby?

No idea what type of plant...
other than to say it is a weed with plenty of aphids on it. I wil post a pictue of it in the morning. I am on my Treo at work tonight.
