Short horned grasshopper? - Melanoplus bivittatus - Female

Because of the tan/brown color, is this a different species than my other image here http://bugguide.net/node/view/24366 ? Or is this a younger stage of the same species?

I find all of these species in the same area.

Melanoplus bivittatus 2nd instar
The dark stripe on the hind femur is usually wider, but I'm pretty sure about the identification. The color can be varied shades of brown or green, or even purplish, and the markings can be more bold, but the basic pattern is always the same.
