Another beetle larvae found under the same stump as this guy (http://bugguide.net/node/view/173788/bgimage)

Note the enlarged 1st pair of legs.
It looks rather meal worm-like, but lacks a pointed back-side.

Tenebrionidae
probably Alleculinae subfamily.
